Well, at least in my knowledge base date of Jan. 2022, only 46 people have ever been that, out of hundreds of millions and millions of people to be in a nation, but to be the President of the United States is nothing to sneeze at, very rare and competitive.

Slim to none, but not none, are the odds of being struck by a meteorite. Well, not really, because there have been a few reported cases of people actually being struck by meteorites, so this would be an extremely unlikely event.
I'm not saying that winning the lottery isn't a big deal because it is, but it is only one of those once in a lifetime things, and as we've seen, there are a lot more things in life that are even more rare that that. To be president of the united states, or to survive a plane crash, or to be the first person to find a new species, all of that stuff is so improbable. Those are scary odds but just prove that life is surprising and wonderful and while the chances are like one in a million sometimes those are the ones that interest us the most.
